For Gaby
My last weekend with Gaby was awesome, and I will write everything today in English so Gaby can take a part of it as well.
Last Friday me and Mariana had planned a surprise party for Gaby, with all of our latin-american friends. We bought balloons, a big banner with the words "goodbye Gaby, buena suerte!", and stuff for a bbq. Gaby and Mariana came to the house, because Marife, one of our friends had invited just them, so they could talk. Everyone was hiding when they came, and when they walked in the livingroom we just screamed SURPRISE, and poor gaby jumped up in the air. It was really funny, I have never been a part of a surpriceparty like that. Oh, well, my girls from back home kidnapped me before I was going to the states, but I kind of knew where we were going :P. Anyway, this was very successful, and everything turned out perfect.
So, after the SUPRISE part, we put a crown on her head and just had fun for the rest of the night.
On Saturday, me, Mariana and Gaby went out shopping, and just had one last day with the girls. We were at my house in the evening and watched movies and talked about our time here. Martin came over for a while as well.
On Sunday we went to a music studio, our friends play in a "band", mostly for fun, so Mariana, Gaby and I had a chance to play with them, even though it didn't sound that good. After that we went to Dave and Buster, a mixed cardroom with restaurant, so awesome! We had so much fun, and my favourite was the dance mats, that was really a good work-out.
And then it was Monday, my day to go to Miami, and the last day I could see Gaby in a while. She took me to the airport, and we gave eachother letters. I cried a lot when I hugged her goodbye. The thing is I know we will stay in touch, the friendship that we have can't just be tossed away, we are sisters. Thank God for skype and Facebook, but it is not the same thing as meeting in real life. I don't know when I will meet her next time, and I don't know how everything will be here without her. She has being such a big part of my year, I can't imagine a life without her now.
I just talked to her today, she was waiting on the Atlanta airport for her second flight, and she said that it's wierd, and that she will miss me/us a lot.

You can experience a lot together in 8 months, so many memories.
The thing I will remember most from Gaby during this year is her happiness, laughter and her ability to light up a whole room with her presence. She is an awesome person who deserves the best in life. Good luck Gaby, and I will see you again soon!
